A Study of Sreum Lipid in Patients of Fracture and Orthopedic Operation

Abstract
|
|
|
We estimated serum total lipid and triglyceride in 70 patients(25 patients of fracture and 45 patients of orthopedic operation), who were treated at the Department of Orthopedic Surgery, College of Medicine, Seoul National University.
And we also observed clinical symtoms and signs of the fat embolism in the same patients.
1) We found 20.4% of traumatic lipemia in total 70 patients of fracture and orthopedic operation.
2) We found 31.2% of traumatic lipemia in more severe bony injuried patients.
3) We found none of symptom and sign of fat embolism.
